Q1) I’ve completed the installation but my lights do not turn on.
[For a 150W transformer] At least 3 to 4 fixtures must be on the track to power up the system (the transformer is designed with a feedback system)
Check breaker
Check wall switch
Check all connections for a bad contact. Make sure all wiring & connections are secure.
[For a 150W transformer] Check for bad contact between the track and transformer. The track should be fully and securely inserted through the transformer. The Flex II track should enter and exit the transformer in a straight line.
Make sure the track is not installed upside-down. The metal contact strips on the track should line up with the metal contacts in the transformer
Check the line (house) side of the wiring. Make sure that power is being supplied to the transformer.
Q2) Some of my lights turn on, but not all of them.
Check for any bad contact between the fixture and track
Make sure the bulb is plugged securely in the socket of the problem light fixture(s).
Make sure that the fixture is installed correctly, the metal contacts on the mounting clip on the fixture should line up with the metal contact strips on the track.
Check for bad contact between the track and transformer. The track should be fully and securely inserted through the transformer(Note: only applicable for “female” transformers). The Flex II track should enter and exit the transformer in a straight line.
If you are using more than 10ft. of track, make sure the track sections are securely fastened together.
Q3) When I turn on the lights, they flicker.
Check for bad contact between the problem fixture(s) and track. Make sure all bulbs are securely plugged into the bulb sockets.
With the 150W transformers, they are equipped with a soft-start feature. The flickering should only be momentary, as it is a built-in protection mechanism against power surges.
[For a 150W transformer] The 150W transformers are designed with a feedback system—if they are not drawing enough power, the lights may not go on or may flicker. You may have to mount 3-4 fixtures before the power kicks in.
You may be using the wrong type of dimmer. Incandescent dimmers are not suitable for use with the transformers provided with the Flex II systems. Low-voltage electronic dimmers are required for dimming with any electronic transformers provided with Flex II kits, and low-voltage magnetic dimmers are required for use with any magnetic transformers provided with Flex II kits.
Place mounting brackets on either side of the trans
Place mounting brackets near any track to track connections
Place stems judicially when making curves (If the stems do not support the track well it can cause the track to bend [out of plane] and individual heads could malfunction)
Place stems next to any pendants
If pendants are 12", 24" or 36", they must be plumb (exactly vertical). If they are out of plumb, the track will not be level and can cause the head(s) to malfunction.
* Note: A washer can be used to plumb out the stem
Q4) My lights are on, but they’re dim.
Check for bad contact between the track and transformer. The track should be fully and securely inserted through the transformer(Note: only applicable for “female” transformers). The Flex II track should enter and exit the transformer in a straight line.
Make sure all bulbs are fully and securely plugged into the bulb sockets.
If you are using more than 10ft. of track, make sure the track sections are securely fastened together.

Low-voltage electronic dimmers are required for dimming with any electronic transformers provided with Flex II kits, and low-voltage magnetic dimmers are required for use with any magnetic transformers provided with Flex II kits.
If you are using a dimmer, it may be installed incorrectly. Make sure the wiring is properly installed, and the connections are secure. Dimmers should always be installed on the line(house) side of the electricity.
Your transformer may be overloaded. You should not exceed a maximum of 120W with the 150W electronic transformers, and you should not exceed 250W with the 300W electronic transformers(Note: Product warranty does not cover any damage or defect resulting from overloading the transformer)
You may be experiencing what is known as “line”, or voltage drop. With longer track runs, or with a lot of fixtures, the lights further away from the transformer will be dimmer than the lights closer to the transformer. Voltage along the track decreases sometimes when the electricity encounters too much resistance. Because of this, we recommend installing fixtures at least 6” apart from each other.
Q5) My lights work for a while, but then they shut off.
Check for bad contact between the track and transformer. The track should be fully and securely inserted through the transformer(Note: only applicable for “female” transformers). The Flex II track should enter and exit the transformer in a straight line.
Check for bad contact between the fixture(s) and track. Make sure all bulbs are securely plugged into the bulb sockets.
Your transformer may be overloaded. You should not exceed a maximum of 120W with the 150W electronic transformers, and you should not exceed 250W with the 300W electronic transformers(Note: Product warranty does not cover any damage or defect resulting from overloading the transformer).
The transformers provided with the Flex II kits have internal breakers to protect them against sudden power surges or excessive draw. If there is an external breaker switch on the transformer, try to reset the switch. The female transformers are equipped with an auto-reset function. Wait a while, then turn the lights back on. You should check all contacts before attempting to restart the system.
Q6) I can’t fit the track through the transformer.
Make sure the track is not installed upside-down. The metal contact strips on the track should line up with the metal contacts in the transformer
The transformer is asymmetrical, and the Flex II track can only enter the transformer from one direction.
